Fixing Your Front Teeth with Cosmetic Dentistry

When you walk into a room do you have the confidence to smile big or do your teeth hold you back? If you grin with your mouth closed instead of opened, you know what we’re talking about.

For many people, the reason they don’t smile big is because of their front teeth; maybe they are misshapen, stained, have gaps in them, are overcrowded, chipped or cracked. Regardless of the reason, it keeps you from looking your best and projecting confidence to those around you.

However, it isn’t all doom and gloom.

The good news?

There are a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures that can help restore your front teeth so you have an abundance of confidence and want to smile big all the time!

What are they?

In this article, we’re going to share a few of the common cosmetic dentistry procedures that we use at Longleaf Dental to improve the appearance of patient’s front teeth. It’s time to be proud of your smile!

Teeth Whitening

Do you brush your teeth and floss regularly, but it seems like your teeth still have a dull yellow or brown stain that will not go away? It’s very common and in all likelihood cannot be removed with routine dental care.

Sure, you could go to the grocery store and buy a variety of teeth whitening products (gels, strips, etc.), and while they may help some, they are not able to provide the same level of whitening ability that our in-office, professional teeth whitening treatment can.

At Longleaf Dental, we offer the Zoom! Whitening service, which can actually whiten your teeth several shades in less than an hour. If yellow or brown stains are the primary issue with your front teeth, visit the page below to learn more:

Cosmetic Bonding

Do you feel pretty good about your teeth, but you just have a stubborn crack or chip on one of your front teeth that makes you a little self-conscious? If so, we offer a simple solution known as cosmetic dental bonding.

Basically, we use a tooth-colored resin material and a special light to “bond” the material to your tooth. It’s a quick, painless, and inexpensive procedure that can be completed in a single office visit.

While it’s a great option, it only works best for minor issues. Dental crowns and porcelain veneers (which we will discuss below) are a better option for long-term results.

Dental Crowns

If your front teeth are severely damaged or missing entirely, then dental crowns are a great option. In fact, a dental crown is actually the preferred cosmetic restoration that accompanies a dental implant procedure.

Porcelain dental crowns are more stain resistant than cosmetic bonding, and since they are essentially “replacement teeth” you can feel confident smiling, because a carefully crafted set of crowns will mimic the look of healthy, beautiful, natural teeth perfectly.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are for those patients who want a complete smile transformation. Nothing is more beautiful than a set of new porcelain veneers.

A veneer is a thin piece of porcelain that adheres to the front of your tooth. The cosmetic dentists at Longleaf Dental will work with you to ensure that your veneers have a perfect shape, fit, and texture.

It’s important to note that the veneers procedure is not reversible (because a certain amount of enamel typically must be shaved off).
